Snow on the First Day of Spring

Hello again, it's been awhile. I've got some catching up to do!

But for now, a short and sweet post. Today is the first day of spring. I like spring, it's a great season. We've been warming up a bit the past few weeks, hitting around 55 ~ 60 on the better days. So it was a bit of a drag to wake up to snow this morning! The ground is too warm for it to stick, but still! Big white floppy flakes in March. I guess I just can't escape it.

My friend John is having a BBQ party tomorrow... here's to hoping the weather hits its target sunny and 52!

In other news, just purchased my tickets and reserved my hotel for an Easter weekend getaway to DC. Never been before! We're set to arrive at the peak of the National Cherry Blossom Festival (sakura, everyone!), which ends officially on Sunday, April 12th, but hopefully there'll still be some trees to gaze upon. Might even try to slurp down some sake under one... via a 20oz bottle, of course.
